1. Can I copy an estimate that I did before when I create a new estimate?
Yes, you can copy an estimate from the same project or
another project. First, go to the
project that you want to create an estimate for.
Then click the Copy Estimate button (located on the Estimate tab). Then,
select the project and estimate you want to copy from, enter the new estimate
id, and the new estimate will be created. All the settings and items from the
old estimate will be copied into the new estimate; then open the new estimate
and make any changes desired.

2. What level of precision is used in the calculations in the estimating module?
The estimating program uses full precision in calculating costs for each item
and in applying markups when you select Net Costs or Net + Net Markups. You have
an option to control how many decimal places (0 to 4) are shown on the screen
and on reports. When you select the option to show costs as Gross Costs, you
have an additional option to round costs to the nearest penny, dime, or dollar.
This option is made available to ensure that when you print reports or proposals
that get sent to potential clients, the figures will add up on the reports and
won't be off due to rounding or truncation.
