New California DIR Public
Works
Website Launched 6/24/2024
The California DIR
implemented a new Public Works website on 6/24/2024. We contacted the CA DIR prior to this launch and
we were assured that there were no changes required to the XML file that is
created by the Quantum Project Manager to be uploaded to the CA DIR eCPR
website. We have reached out to the DIR since the launch and
received a response that confirmed there are no changes
required to the XML file upload, but there are some issues with the new CA
DIR website (see below). As long as you can
create the XML file, any upload problems are most likely related to the
problems acknowledged by the DIR.
See the page at
https://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/SupportCenter.html for information
on the current status of the new website and for more information on the
changes that have been made and steps you may have to take to transition to
the new website. Contact the CA DIR for more information on how to use the
new website and to get help with any problems you are experiencing using it.
10/9/2024 Update
on CA DIR Public Works website at
https://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/PublicWorks.html - There is an
update that says:
"NOTIFICATION PAUSING eCPR ENFORCEMENT - 1771.4(a)(3)
This is to notify interested parties that enforcement of the requirement to
submit electronic certified payroll records (eCPRs) to the Labor
Commissioner using DIR’s online eCPR system is temporarily paused for a
minimum of 6 months, which is through at least 12/31/24."
It goes into more details, but basically acknowledges
that there are problems that are being worked on. See
https://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/PublicWorks.html for the full
message. We will post information on this page and notify our customers when
we have more information.
10/3/2024 Update
from CA DIR - Since our customers are continuing to have
problems uploading the XML files to the new website, we reached out again to
the DIR a few weeks ago. We did get a reply today from the CA DIR that there
are still issues with the website including issues with the XML file
uploads. We will notify our customers and update this page when we receive
more information.
7/15/2024 Update
from CA DIR - We did get a reply from the CA DIR that there
were no changes made to the XML format, however there was a known bug. They
have resolved this issue/bug and contractors should be able to re-upload
their XMLs now. Please visit their
Support Center for how-to guides, frequently asked questions, and
webinar recordings that may address your questions.
