1. How do I send an answer to an
RFI?
The RFI has two formats. One is an RFI to submit a Request for Information or a question. The other option is Answer. You select which option you want by changing the type field on the RFI screen. When Answer is chosen, you can fill in the information on the Answer tab and that information will be printed without the question. If you want both the answer and the question to print, leave the type set to RFI.

2. When I send a submittal, do I have to also create a transmittal?
No, you don't have to. You can create a transmittal if desired, but you do not need to. There is another option available. You can fill in the submittal information and also complete the Items tab and print the submittal sheet in lieu of the transmittal sheet. This might work for you if you are just sending the recipient one submittal and have no real need for a transmittal, just need a cover page describing what is contained.
